Who We Are

We strive to create safe opportunities for queer St. Marians to build community, learn, and have fun. Our pride events spotlight local and/or queer sponsors, vendors, talents and townsfolks. 

A Message from our President, Robin Awcock:

“Hello. My name is Robin. I am the mother of 2 and Grandmother of 4. I have been a member of the 2SLGBTQA+ community for 25 years, and have been resident of St. Mary’s for 23 years. I noticed that St. Marys had very little 2SLGBTQA+ presence if any. I decided to create a Facebook group called St. Marys Pride. Welcoming those in the community who identified as 2SLGBTQA+ or an ally. I noticed there was considerable interest. With that I decided I wanted to go a step further in creating St. Marys Pride and holding our very own Pride day. I had a great response to a call out to form a committee in 2022. We had 2 months to organize an event for June. We pulled it off with a very successful 1st St. Marys Pride day! We now hold events, not only in June, but throughout the year.

• Our first Pride event was in 2022.
• In 2023, we partnered with the FOL for movie in the park, supplied transgender remembrance pins for town staff, and kicked off a D&D campaign!
• Join us in 2024 for our 3rd June Pride event, more D&D, another movie in the park, and more!
